It's one leg in the Front and one leg in the rear. I just did X-rays on her front and back legs. I'll ask my vet if this is something she might have. One of my foster dogs has hook worm. I’m worried about my other dogs. Does the eggs only come out in poop or does it come out through skin saliva or vomit? I’ve been making sure to pick up the poop right away but I have seen them make contact a few times like snout to snout. Should I be worried about the little contact they have made?

My lattest rescue had a double FHO and I would say the right side was successful accept his left side is weak and he won't ue it to build up the muscle. Thanks for the video I'm going to ask my vet for another exray.

My 5.5 lb Chihuahua was (we believe ) stung by a honey bee or wasp, and swallowed it? All I know is shortly after being outside to potty ( she didnt) she came in ( We only were out 5 minutes tops) because it was extremely hot. The other two Chihuahua 's, 7 & 12 pounds were fine. I no more than turned around inside the back door, and she immediately collapsed, urinated and lost control of her biwels, all while lying flat out on her belly. I instantly knew something was horriblt wrong. I wrapped her in a thick towel, xalled my daughter, and since our Vet Clinic is closedvon Driday afternoons, we drove 90+ mph in their Silverado 250 crew cab HDbrand new to the next town where we knewcthere was an Emergency Vet Hospital. She was seizingfor the first 15 minutes, then was in Anaphlyactic Shock full on. When I laid her on the Vet Table her heart rate was rapid, and weak. They immediately started two I.V's , and gave her injections of Prednisone & Benadryl in her IV pushed. She slowly started to come around, spent the night there on IV fluids, and her labs camevback clear, except a slight rise in sugar levels ( thought to be brought on by shock) there was no outward seelling, and so we hace no proof that bee/ wasp sting is what this was . We were going by there are honeybee's in our yard, and a few wasps off & on. I had caught most wasps earlier in the season in a wasp trap. I had mowed the lawn the night before, so clover was at a minimum. She came as close to death as she coukd have, and Im now terrified of it happening again. I ALWAYS go out with with the dogs. ALWAYS. We have a fenced in yard. HOWEVER, 3 blicks away is a Honeybee factory, where there are hives stored when not in use, and honey is produced. I asked the on call emergency Vet about keeping a appropriately dosed Epinephrine syringe taped in my fridge door, because we had a prior dog, who was on a drug trial for 5 yrs because of an autoimmune she had, who was on a special 2 injection a week that could cause that kind of reaction possibly. The emergency Vet said No, I dont think thats needed. Just watch carefully for bees , and rush her back if itvhappened again. I have prior ER ( people ER) experience. and am now terrified after this happening again, with no way to provide any type of Rescue drugs to help her until we can beat feet to the Vets as quickly as I can. She's slowly gaining ground, but is still effected ( she's on Prednisone , and Probiotics) since her side effects from the Shock she went into had left her with some residual vomiting ( light) and dark, tar colored diarrhea, also light. She is now eating Chicken with broth. THAT seems to be helping her gain back her balance and strength better than anything else. What would your advice be for my next step? I need to find a way to both protect her, and yet still allow her to be a normal dog as much as possible?

just got a cane corso and he was fine before he got shipped out and when he came 3 days later he got bald spots all underneath we took him to the vet she had one look with uv light said it was a fungal infection and gave him a vaccine and said we will schedule 3 more so 4 in total and gave us some shampoo to use on him and told us to not touch him unless we want bald spots like him. what i want to say is seeing its a cane corso and it can grow up into an uncontrolable dog and now we cant train him before his "infection" settles down im worried i wont have time to train him and condition him before he becomes uncontrolable. should i return him? is it a lost cause? or is it a misdiagnose just for the vet to get more money out of us? planning on visiting another vet just in case.

My gsd puppy broke her left leg, how can I fit it?

Just got my chihuahua 10 year physical and had them do blood work bc I wanted everything checked out on him. Was told he had a slight heart murmur and that I needed to watch his sleeping and change up his diet to chicken and rice. Came here just looking for more info, vet said he was no where near having to be on heart meds, which I took as a good sign. Bruno will be 11 next month and idk what I would do without him so I’m willing to do anything I need! Can heart murmurs go away though? That’s what I was wondering. Thanks for sharing Dr. Dan!

300.00 a month thats nuts and the way the prices are right now with everything going up; that is a rich person dog lol cheaper to make it yourself. whenever i cook for my family i will make something on the side for my dog too just plain like pork chops, hambugers, chicken etc. i just boil my dogs a slice of whatever and then add it to his dry food/can food

Great, clear to-the-point explanation. My dog used to throw up quite a bit with no other symptoms. Not until he was in a crisis at 9 years old did we rush him and find this out. He had never really had any other symptoms, it’s def the “great pretender” disease. He has atypical and so glad I don’t have to pay for those expensive shots like typical Addison’s. So sad for the dogs that have regular or atypical addisons. But my dog is 12 now so the prognosis is good so stay positive.
